Day 1 Calgary

Upon your arrival at Calgary International Airport, pick up your rental car and enjoy a scenic two and a half hour drive west to Banff through the Kananaskis Region. If your schedule allows, explore the Banff townsite, relax at the hotel, or soak in the nearby hot springs. For the remainder of the evening participate in the hotel’s facilities.

Day 2 Banff

The main activities for today consist of taking in the beauties of the region. Early in the day take a gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for an unobstructed bird’s eye view of six scenic mountain ranges. Witness breathtaking views in every direction from one of several observation decks and enjoy a self-guided walk along the Banff Skywalk to Sanson’s Peak.

Day 3 Jasper

Begin your day by traveling north to the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Winding your way through Canada’s Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site, you’ll be in the heart of the majestic Icefields Parkway. The picturesque views of pristine lakes, mighty glaciers, and lush old-growth forests all provide the perfect photo opportunity. Day 4 Jasper

Begin the day by setting out to explore Jasper National Park, a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. While traversing alpine meadows on your private guided tour, you’ll discover the park from inside your custom photo vehicle. Since you are in ‘Bear Country’, you just might so happen to see a Black Bear mother tending to her playful cubs. Take in the sights of the clear blue lakes, and vast wilderness area.

Day 5 Sun Peaks

In the morning, consider taking a final hike in Jasper before departing on your five and a half hour drive to Sun Peaks, a delightful Alpine village in the quaint Thompson Okanagan region of inland British Columbia. Tread the pedestrian-only village or take the Sunburst chairlift to the summit to begin your journey from six thousand feet above. At this height, the glorious views are endless.

Day 6 Whistler

In the morning drive from Sun Peaks to Whistler, which takes approximately five hours. Prior to dinner you may want to explore the village, filled with trendy boutiques. If you prefer a bit more adventure, watch the mountain bikers landing jumps at the base of Whistler Mountain. It’s quite a sight to see and may even give you inspiration to give it a whirl tomorrow!

Day 7 Whistler

Today is the day that you will experience firsthand the highest and longest lifts in the world, the Peak 2 Peak gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Be sure to check it off of your bucket list. Enjoy the world-class views, exceptional mountain-top dining, and alpine hiking. Additional options for your afternoon include golf, flightseeing tours, and mountain biking.

Day 8 Whistler

Today is yours to travel around Whistler at your leisure. There are many activities to keep you occupied and filled with wonder, including bear viewing and ecology walks, Heli-hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, and mountain biking at Whistler Blackcomb Bike Park. If you prefer a day of rest and relaxation, soak up some sun while lounging beside the outdoor pool and hot tub.

Day 9 Tofino

In the morning take a drive from Whistler to Tofino, situated on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast. Nestled among abundant forests and right on sandy Cox Bay beach, you’ll find yourself in the picture perfect setting for beachcombing and bear-watching. In the evening, partake in the hotel’s activities, which include horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, or experience blissful relaxation at the spa.

Day 10 Tofino

Today you’ll experience a full-day zodiac excursion in and around the Clayoquot Sound. A designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this temperate rain forest is home to a number of land and marine mammals, including but not limited to wolves, black bears, cougars, gray whales, orcas, porpoises, seals, otters, bald eagles, and Roosevelt elk. Come to a stop at a sea cave and enjoy a dip at Hot Springs Cove, overlooking the mesmerizing Pacific Ocean.

Day 11 Tofino

Enjoy a day in Tofino at your own leisure. There are a number of options, including guided walks with an expert naturalist, beachcombing, and surfing, fit with a provided wetsuit, so you can be nice and comfortable in the cold Pacific. If you’re looking for a taste of local cuisine, head into town and sample the catch of the day at the timber-built Shelter Restaurant.

Day 12 Victoria

Begin the day from Tofino to Victoria, winding along the scenic Pacific Rim highway. If time allots, head into town and explore a bit of Victoria on your own. Close to the city center, Victoria’s Chinatown is the second oldest in North America and its Fan Tan Alley, the narrowest street in the country, is a must-see – even if you can’t fit.

Day 13 Victoria

Experience exhilaration by racing through the seas in an open-air zodiac on a half-day whale watching tour. The Juan de Fuca and Haro Straits are home to three orca pods, with nearly 100 orcas among them—which means that sightings are almost inevitable. The ride itself is exciting and adventurous—be prepared to get a little wet!

Day 14 Vancouver

Start off your day by driving to a ferry where you will sail from Victoria to Vancouver. From your hotel, take a walk along chic Robson Street, or head to the nearby historic Gastown. Vancouver is known as “Hollywood North” for good reason. You may just stumble across one of many movies being filmed on the cobbled streets and see sightings of some of your favorite stars.

Day 15 Vancouver

Relish in an expertly guided tour of Vancouver, famous for its cultural diversity and noteworthy parks. Discover the historic cobbled streets of Gastown to the lush forest of Stanley Park. Witness the liveliness of Chinatown, filled with herbal pharmacies that sell cures for just about every ailment.

Day 16 Departure

Depending on your time of departure, you may want to revisit a favorite destination from yesterday’s tour today prior to leaving the city center. Today you’ll drive out of downtown to the Vancouver International Airport and drop off your rental car before catching your flight homeward.
