Days 1-3 Matauri Bay

Begin your adventure by checking into your hotel and spend your first day at Matauri Bay taking in the lodge’s many amenities. On the following day your guide will take you on a private sailing boat. This miraculous boat is fast and nimble enough to explore the world-famous Matauri Bay with ease, yet has the comfort, safety and ambiance to provide an exceptional day on board, enjoying the breeze and the view from the covered deck. Guided by our professional and knowledgeable crew, you will enjoy beachcombing, a light stroll and lunch served in a sheltered cove. Days 4 & 5 Taupo

After taking a flight to Taupo, you will be transferred to Huka Lodge. Enjoy a scenic flight to White Island, with aerial views of the active crater before landing on this lunar-like surface. Here you will be able to stand on and walk around the island’s active crater floor, viewing active steam vents fumaroles, hot streams, vibrant sulfur formations and the steaming crater. You will also land on the summit of Mt. Tarawera and enjoy spectacular views of the craters and domes formed by the 1886 eruption. During your stay at Huka Lodge be sure to partake in the hotel’s many exciting activities including kayaking, bungy jumping, skydiving, white water rafting, and so much more. If you are looking for some relaxation you can also enjoy a peaceful massage and lay out by the luxurious spa pool.

Days 6-8 Hawke's Bay

After checking into your hotel at The Farm At Cape Kidnappers bask in the property’s immense amenities. Following a good night’s rest start the next day at Hawke’s Bay cycling at Clifton near the base of the cliffs of Cape Kidnappers. From here you follow the coast, tasting wines at Clearview Estate and Elephant Hill along the way. On reaching Haumoana, you’ll turn inland and follow the Tuki Tuki River trail to the bustling village of Havelock North. A visit to the Origin Earth Cheese Factory and Tasting Room is a highlight for food lovers before continuing the short distance to Te Mata Estate winery.

Days 9 & 10 Wairarapa

During your stay in Wairarapa enjoy your time at your own leisure. Wharekauhau and cooking classes to experience firsthand the traditional cuisine of New Zealand.

Days 11-13 Nelson

Partake in a leisurely trip through Abel Tasman National Park to experience some of the most magnificent coastline that New Zealand has to offer. Where native bush meets golden sands and crystal clear waters are a playground for birds, seals and dolphins. As you explore the coast, your skipper will point out local seal colonies and secluded beach hideaways. During your stay in Edenhouse take advantage of once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as a private helicopter ride at Awaroa Bay, fly fishing, horse trekking plus so much more.

Days 14 & 15 Christchurch

Akaroa, an exquisite seaside town, once prospered as a French whaling station, is still rich with French, Maori and English culture. Akaroa Harbour is host to amazing bird life and sea mammals, including the world’s smallest and rarest dolphins, the Hectors Dolphin. After you check into Otahuna Lodge, your private guide will lead you to the town’s harbor where you will board a boat for a two-hour scenic cruise around the peninsula, passing sea caves and dramatic cliffs, on your way to visit a Hector dolphin pod. Days 16 & 17 Lake Wanaka

Explore this famously remote and untouched part of New Zealand by helicopter. Days 18-20 Queenstown

Upon your arrival to Queenstown transfer to Matakauri Lodge. Once you are settled in take a thrilling thirty-minute jet boat ride you’ll never forget! The Shotover Canyon walls tower over you as your driver skillfully whips the boat past rocky outcrops and skims around crags and boulders. This unique experience just may be the one you talk about most fondly once you arrive back home! Before your departure homeward be sure to take advantage of the lodge’s experiences.

Day 21 Departure

In the morning take a transfer to Queenstown Airport, catch your flight and be on your way homeward.
