Aman Sveti Stefan
The most iconic images associated with Montenegro are of the tiny islet named Sveti Stefan, once a fortified village dating back to the 15th century. Today, the island’s cluster of sturdy stone buildings, together with Villa Milocer, a graceful stone residence across the bay, comprises the idyllic beachside resort of Aman Sveti Stefan. The resort presents eight Suites at Villa Milocer and 51 Village Rooms, Cottages and Suites on the island. Views are of the sea, rooftops or quaint courtyards, depending on location. Every room, cottage and suite on the island is completely unique, as one would expect from a destination of centuries-old heritage. Aman Sveti Stefan incorporates two kilometres of Adriatic coastline including the pink sandy beaches of Sveti Stefan, Milocer Beach and the renowned Queen’s Beach. Set back from Queen’s Beach is the resort’s standalone Aman Spa. It offers four treatment suites, relaxation rooms and hydrotherapy rooms with saunas, cold plunge pools and steam showers, as well as extensive fitness facilities. Aman Spa’s 24-metre indoor heated swimming pool extends outdoors for an additional eight metres, while the Spa’s Fitness Centre includes a Pilates studio, a yoga studio and a comprehensive gym. There are also spa cottages on the island. Aman Sveti Stefan offers two more swimming pools on the island. The resort’s main lap pool is located on the lower terrace on the west side of the island, while the second is set on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea and offer casual dining throughout the day. At Villa Miloccer, the Loggia Restaurant features a simple, elegant menu driven by fresh produce and locally-caught seafood. The island of Sveti Stefan itself provides diverse dining options in a uniquely atmospheric setting – the Piazza, featuring a number of dining venues including a taverna, an enoteca and an antipasti bar. Also located on the island are: the Signature Restaurant Arva, serving Italian and Montenegrin dishes; Rakija Bar and the Upper Terrace. As with all Aman resorts, Aman Sveti Stefan provides guests with personalised guided excursions to natural and cultural attractions – both along the Montenegrin coast and into the spectacular interior of the country. These include boating on the Adriatic, visiting the old town of Budva and the baroque city of Perast, discovering Skadar Lake and exploring the Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
