About Belmond Sanctuary Lodge
Ideally situated, this unobtrusive 31-room lodge is the only hotel adjacent to the ruins, a location that grants privileged access to visit the site before the arrival of tourists in the morning and after their departure in the evening. Well-appointed rooms (request a terrace) have small, modern marble baths with stall showers only. The two suites feature living areas, traditional fabrics, wood accents and furnished terraces. The Tampu Restaurant serves international and Peruvian à la carte cuisine, and the Tampu Bar offers regionally inspired cocktails. The hotel’s wellness center offers a spa for aromatherapy treatments and an outdoor Jacuzzi. Cooking classes, pisco tastings, and ancient Peruvian ceremonies led by an Andean shaman, including coca leaf readings and Pachamama (Mother Earth) tributes, can be arranged.
